Cobalt Yonder Aircon servicing Book a visit
Bright, uncluttered sitting room with daylight across a pale sofa and floorboards

Splits · cassettes · ducted

Cleaned coils, flushed drains, and a report you can read.

We service the units you already own, tell you which ones actually need a chemical wash, and leave a photo record with the readings from every visit.

Service scopes

What we touch, unit by unit

Scopes differ by unit type, so the intervals do too. Use this to work out which job you are booking before you pick a plan.

Wall-mounted split

Filters washed and dried, barrel fan and coil face cleaned, condensate line flushed, thermistor and supply-air temperatures logged, mounting bracket and slope checked.

Every 3–6 monthsDaily use sits at the short end

Ceiling cassette

Panel dropped, swirl fan and coil cleaned in place, drain pan and condensate pump float tested, and the ceiling void around the unit checked for old drip staining.

Every 6 monthsNeeds clear floor space below

Ducted fan coil

Return-air filter cleaned or replaced, coil cleaned from the access panel, trunk and flexible runs inspected where they can be reached, and grille airflow compared room to room.

Every 6–12 monthsAccess panel must be reachable

Multi-split & outdoor bank

Condenser fins washed down, fan bearings listened to under load, line-set insulation repaired where it has perished, and running pressures and current draw recorded per circuit.

Yearly, before peakBooked with the indoor units

Cleaning solutions, a spray bottle, cloths and gloves laid out ready for work

Choose the right job

General service or chemical wash?

Most callouts only need the first. Paying for the second on a clean unit changes nothing you can feel.

General service

  • Best when cooling is still fine and you are keeping ahead of it
  • Covers filters, accessible coil face, fan, drain flush, readings
  • Unit stays assembled on the wall
  • Takes roughly 30–45 minutes per unit

Chemical wash

  • Best when there is a musty smell, weak airflow, or slime in the drain
  • Covers blower and coil dismantled, treated, rinsed, drain line cleared
  • Unit stays partly stripped, with a collection bag fitted
  • Takes roughly 60–90 minutes per unit

If you are unsure, book the general service. We check the blower wheel and drain while we are there and tell you on the spot whether a wash is worth it. We never upgrade the job without asking first.

On the day

How a visit runs

Four stages, in the same order every time, so you know what the room will look like and what lands in your inbox afterwards.

01

Window confirmed

We reply with a two-hour window and the number of units we have allowed for, so nobody waits around a whole morning.

02

Room prepped

Furniture is moved back, drop sheets go down under each unit, and power to the unit is isolated before any panel comes off.

03

Service carried out

The scope for your unit type, worked through in order. Anything we find that sits outside the scope is photographed, not fixed quietly.

04

Report sent

Before and after photos, supply-air temperatures, drain condition, and the one or two things we would watch at the next visit.

Quiet, sparsely furnished room with soft daylight on plain walls

Read your unit

Six signs worth acting on

Symptoms first, likely cause second. A few of these are a cleaning job; one of them means stop using the unit today.

01

Airflow has dropped but the fan sounds unchanged

Usually a loaded filter or a blower wheel packed with dust, so the fan spins at the same speed while moving far less air.

What we doWash the filters, inspect the blower wheel, and quote a wash only if the fins are actually coated.

02

Ice forming on the indoor coil or pipework

Airflow is restricted or the charge is low. Left alone it bends fins, soaks insulation and puts the compressor under load.

What we doClear the airflow path first, then take pressures to separate a dirt problem from a refrigerant problem.

03

A musty smell in the first few minutes

Biofilm on the blower and coil, wetted every time the unit starts. Deodorising sprays mask it for a fortnight at best.

What we doChemical wash of the blower and coil with the drain line flushed through, which is what actually removes it.

04

Water marking the wall beneath the unit

A blocked drain pan, a sagging condensate line, or a unit that has lost its slope on the bracket.

What we doFlush and pressure-test the line, re-dress the run, and re-level the bracket where it has slipped.

05

Longer run times to reach the same temperature

A dirty indoor or outdoor coil trading heat poorly, so the unit keeps running to get where it used to get quickly.

What we doClean both coils, then log supply-air temperature so the difference is on paper, not just a claim.

06

The breaker trips after the unit has run a while

An electrical fault under thermal load, not a cleaning issue. Repeated resets are the part worth avoiding.

What we doAsk you to stop using the unit, then inspect and report before anyone books a cleaning visit.

Plans

Straightforward servicing rates

Priced per unit so the quote matches what is on your walls. Chemical washes are quoted separately once we have seen the blower.

Single visit

$98 per unit

One-off general service. Useful before a tenancy starts or when a unit has been idle for a season.

  • Full scope for your unit type
  • Condensate line flushed
  • Photo and readings report
  • Written note on anything found

Book a single visit

Twice-yearly care

$165 per unit, per year

Two scheduled services a year. The pattern most households with daily use settle on.

  • Two visits, scheduled ahead
  • Filters replaced when washing no longer helps
  • Readings compared visit to visit
  • Priority window in peak season
  • Chemical wash quoted at a held rate

Start twice-yearly care

Portfolio care

From $520 per year, up to eight units

For a whole home, a shared office floor, or a small set of managed properties.

  • All units serviced in one slot
  • One report covering every unit
  • Register of age and model per unit
  • Replacement flagged before it fails

Ask about portfolio care

Ducted systems and outdoor banks are quoted after we know how the access panels are set up. Tell us what you have in the form and we will confirm the rate before the visit, not after it.

Questions

Asked before most bookings

How long will you be in the house?
Around 45 to 90 minutes for one or two wall units. Cassettes take longer because the panel has to come down and go back up, and ducted systems depend on how easy the access panel is to reach. Multi-unit visits are booked as one longer slot rather than several short ones.
How often does a unit actually need servicing?
Daily use in a dusty or coastal spot: roughly every three months. Normal household use: every six. A ducted or cassette system in a low-traffic office: six to twelve. If the filters come out grey after three months, shorten the interval rather than adding chemicals.
Do you need a tap, or do you bring water?
We bring a pump sprayer and a collection bag, so the job can be done without plumbing. Access to a tap and a drain makes rinsing and disposal quicker, and we will ask where they are when we arrive.
Will a service fix a unit that is not cooling?
Sometimes. Restricted airflow and blocked drains are cleaning problems and a service resolves them. Low refrigerant, a failing compressor or an electrical fault are not, and we will not sell you a wash to cover one. You get a written diagnosis first and decide from there.
Do I need to be home for the visit?
Someone over eighteen needs to let us in and confirm which units are being serviced. After that you do not need to stand over the work. We move furniture back ourselves, put drop sheets down, and leave each room as we found it.
What happens if a unit needs a part?
We photograph it, finish the servicing we were booked for, and send the part and labour cost in writing. Nothing gets fitted on the spot and nothing is added to the invoice without your reply.
Can you service a unit you did not install?
Yes, that is most of our work. Older units are fine too. If a unit is past the point where servicing improves anything, we will say so plainly and note what we would replace it with rather than booking you in again.
Is the chemical wash safe around bedrooms and pets?
The solution is rinsed and captured in a bag rather than left on the coil, and the unit is run afterwards to dry the blower. Keep pets out of that room while we work and air it for an hour after; there is no lingering residue once the unit has run.

Tell us what you have and when suits

We reply with a two-hour window, the scope for your unit type, and the rate. If what you have described sounds like a fault rather than a service, we will say that instead of booking you in.

  • ReplyWithin one working day, with the window and the rate
  • BringYour unit count and rough age if you know it
